Okay, It's
This article was the toughest to start of
any I have written. I was wrestling with
saying exactly how I felt about this track.
It's located in Central Washington state,
13 hours from the S.F. bay area.I didn't
run away with any trophies, but I knew 3
laps into my first of 4 motos, this track
had all the stuff every track should have.
Start gate w/ launch pad(concrete),
elevation changes, flat,bowl,tight and
sweeper turns.Track composition
consisting of organic,(containing leaves
and composting forest material)
sand,clay,and bottom soil.  Obstacles
that are well spaced enough as to not be
overly demanding but tough enough to
keep you on your toes. The jumps ranged
from huge table tops to 8 ft sea swell
looking rollers, to small hopper ski moguls
the size of an upside down wheel barrow.
The Park atmosphere was unlike any
other MX facility I've ever been to.
So what's so hard about
saying that? No that was
the easy part. I must first
quallify my next statement.
As of right now I am an
Intermediate rider. I'm not
an Expert, I haven't raced
everywhere, I don't claim to
have, but of all the places I
have raced this is "The
most beautiful,well laid
out,best MX track I've ever
raced on."
Until now Hollister was my
favorite,and Hollister is nice
but now everywhere I go at the
top of the scale the new
benchmark will be Bill Foister's
Burnt Ridge MX Park. Located
at 1058 Burnt Ridge Road
Onalaska Wasington 98570
This outstanding track is
maintained well has all the
good stuff and a staff which
includes Nick Foister, Bill's
son. You can see the pride the
Foisters take in keeping this
park clean & running smooth.
The suroundings are so
beautiful, You just want to stay
here when you get through
with your races.
