In 1979 George got a break from Mc gill Motorcycles in
Stockton Calif. They sold him bikes at cost and as an expert his bike parts were free. So He
sold his 77 Husky he was racing and bought a YZ 400 & a YZ 250. That year he Won the
Hangtown Quallifing Series, earning the # 11 (see center photo above) where he raced the
likes of,Magoo,Daryl Schultz,Bob Myers,Todd Kohlmiester,Dick Butner, Ray Spore, Jim
Lesnuski and having to ride "around" the antics of Bill Schartz and Michael Preston.

George raced for 4 years the
first time around. In four years
from 1975 to 1979 He raced
MX. Making  Expert his first
year.  Training with Donnie
Cantaloupi Doing weight
training at the local YMCA and
running on the canal banks
together. Other training
techniques he picked up were
when he saw Billy Grossi ride
a unicycle at Hangtown, he
went out and got one,
mastered it and still uses one
today.
Four inch flames shot out of the exaust
port of the borrowed T5 Triumph Mx 500
George was riding.
 It was 2 laps from
the finish of his first race. He was in third
place.  The header pipe falls off. The
intense heat on his leg nor the noise was
as intense as this teenagers will to be on
the podium. This was 1975 and George
has been comfortable up there ever
since. George fell in love with riding early.
His first bike a Yamaha L5T 100. Fun, but
not a Dirtbike. The bike he really cut his
teeth on was an RT1 mx. Which his mom
helped him replace by co-signing for his
1975 Yamaha 400 B.

Before King George ever hit
the track he was inspired by a
childhood friend Rob
Freggiaro. He would go over
to his house and hang out .
Rob's bedroom was a shrine
to Motocross. With pictures of
all the mx stars plastered all
over the walls and ceiling. Rob
rode an AT1mx Yamaha and
helped George set up his RT1
360 for the riggors of MX.
Then at the end of the 79 season he
Stopped. Just like that! " I was just
burned out" he said it wasn't where I
wanted to be on Sunday morning
anymore. Years go by He meets his
Love, Brenda settles down. In 2003 he
starts racing Post Vintage on a Ric
Tipton GP Maico with the sponsorship
of Fred Ginn's Santa Rosa Paint
Center. He won the Ultima 500 class.
2004 he was plagued with a knee injury
and only raced occasionally. In 2005 he
only made 5 Regionals.  2006, smart
guy that he is he invents the
Supersquare and commits his full
attention to it and training for the 2007
season.
