Race
Radar
Race radar is a new front page feature for
<vintagemxracer.com> We set the radar distance
as far as necessary to race every weekend. The
mileages are figured using MapQuest or Google
Earth from Downtown San Francisco to the race
track. Double this, to figure round trip mileage.
Every month we would like to Help the Race
Promoters in the area keep
LOCAL racing alive
and well. So let's get out there and support them.
If you can't race bring some friends and go
spectate. The racing is tight and it's fun to watch.
June 2008. This month we're pretty lucky. If you can handle a Reno trip, you could
hit 3 races in our area.  On June 15th AVDRA has a Regional race at the E street track in
Marysville on Fathers Day. I told my whole familly that is how I want to spend my Fathers Day
and they all agreed to come cheer me on as my presents. June 22nd is a sunday and the
AVDRA National near Fernley Nevada, just past Reno. This will be my first time racing there
since 1993 on a borrowed CZ 400. That was an Old Timers race and the plaque is on my wall.
I hope to see you there. The last race of the Month is an AHRMA Regional at Argyle Park .
People call this track Dixon but really it's on Hwy 113 east of Travis Airbase. If you look  at the
map, Hwy 113 runs diagonally South out of Dixion  then takes a sharp turn. Argyle is at that
turn. From the south I think it's quicker to take Hwy 112 east out of Fairfield and catch Hwy 113
North than to backtrack South 113 off 80 through Dixon.

His first bike was a Honda 150 Dream, He bought it with the paper route he used it on. Good
thing he did get the Honda with a 37mi. Tibouron Calif. paper route. When asked if he ever
offroaded the little Dream, he said he did and it was a big Nightmare! It seams the Dream or at
least his was nose heavy and "almost killed me" I think were his exact words. Rob moved on to
Ducati singles. Now I see him on British bikes. More about Rob's bikes later. This month
Rob,his wife Debbie and partners are promoting the AHRMA race at Argyle park.

Just who's throwing
these races anyway?
Avdra Regional Schedule
Recently we spoke to Rick Tipton, Avdra's Northwest Regional Director, about the Avdra
races to finish out the year here in the San Francisco bay area. Rick said he's working on
several events close by. Argyle-Dixon and Marysville were mentioned. The schedule
according to Tipton will be all firmed up sometime shortly after the Avdra National at Fernley
Nevada. So I'm thinking the first of July we should have the schedule up on
Race
Radar..
I Like the idea of the races being close, as the Ahrma schedule, after
Argyle, is in Washington state for the next 3 races 7/13 Bellingham, 8/10 Chehalis, 9/17
Fairfield near Spokane. Then Ahrma is coming to Bodner Ore. near Klammath Falls on 9/28.
Since the 7/13 and 9/17 races would be the financial equivalent of taking your kids to
Disneyland, twice,   it was going to be a racing dry spell for us here, so it's nice to think we'll
have some racing that is within a commutable distance. Vintagemxracer will be at Chehalis
and Bodner these are what we saved up for and are awesome  natural terrain grass tracks.
Chehalis is a very cool place with a steam train and comradely not found elswhere.
"On Track"   Helmetcam will be MUCH BETTER from now on  I think I
figured it out finally!!                                                                          So Look for this and more
