Right on the Main drag in Woodland
Ludy's is one of those places you just
feel at home the first time you step
foot inside. The food and service
reflect the owner Paul Ludovino"s
Commitment to good food and good
service. Chris and I were so
impressed we have actually driven 60
miles out of the way to have dinner
there on the way home from races.
The taster platter is so good and has
a little bit of everything to try.
Paul has created an environment of
farm and old timey things to look at.
The whole thing just feels cozy and
friendly. General Manager Julian
Clements and his staff keep the
place very clean. I must say the food
is consistently good. Chris and I
have been there 6 or 7 times,
ordered different things and
everything has always been
excellent! Chris is hooked on the
sweet potato mini pies. When we go,
we have this ritual. I ask her "do you
want 2 pies?" She says NO! Then I
turn around or something and half of
mine is GONE!, So I go up to buy
another pie, when I get back to the
booth the other half of my pie is
gone. So was I the one that got 2
Pies?? Needless to say we have alot
of fun at Ludy's. The prices are
reasonable for the quality of food
you 're getting. There is a beautiful
back patio for outside dining. I like
the heated BBQ sauce in pump
dispensers. What can I say, they put
alot of thought into the place and
they haven't lost the original thought
in the day to day running of the
restaurant. The bottom line is Chris
and I love and highly recommend
Ludy's. It's Just about an hour from
both Marysville MX tracks.
Getting There If
you're not in too big a hurry
it's half the fun!

The out side Dining Patio at
night,Fireplace warming your
sore Motocross back. Great
BBQ to gnaw on. It just doesn't
get much better than Ludy's in
Woodland Calif.
A couple of years ago I got the call from my friend
Tim Stowe Sr. Owner of Woodland Cycle that my Honda SL125 race
engine was completed. I had the chassis ready however, he was
doing extensive head and valve work so I knew better than to rush
him. Now it was done. So my wife Chris and I made the trip up to
Woodland from Napa to pick up the little engine.
As we were leaving the shop I asked Tim "where's a good place for
BBQ around here" It suddenly sounded like a choir, everyone in the
place said at the same time"LUDY'S". I can remember thinking okay
it's" THAT good".
