Terry Good  Legendary Motocross bikes
Works Bike, whats so special? What's the difference? You've seen the
specs, but has anyone walked you around a works bike and shown you what
makes it so special? If you buy this book Terry Good and Motocross
Champions and Personalities from all over the globe, will. To walk
around 20 History making Bikes, being mentored, by the Great men that
Broke records with them, and to have Industry insiders point the
significant differences,of these works specials from production bikes,
is priceless. Yet, Terry Goode has made  all this, availlable to Guys and
Gals like us, for 30 bucks. Scream'n deal, Robin Hannah #960
I wrote the above for Nichole Schiele, Head Marketing Dept.Mgr at
MotorBooks, the Publisher of Terry Good's new 160 page book
"Legendary Motocross Bikes". She wanted two sentences to describe how
the book hit me, but really this was as short as I could make it.

First of all this book covers Vintage and Postvintage, and is a real
page-turner.

The things about this book that make it different from other motorcycle
books, is the detail of which each works racing bike is covered. If you are
like me, you have bought books, that have specs for the bike, right/left full
on photos, maybe what rider rode the bike, what races the rider/bike
combination won, and that's it. You are left wondering. ??????

In this book Author Terry Good goes the extra mile. He has the actual
Rider/Developer, tell, in his own words, the back stories, of the bike, the
conditions the bikes were evolving in, and what it felt like to actually
compete on these one-off bikes that established the state of the art of
Motocross. Factory mechanics, team managers, and moto-journalists also
helped color in the stories of the 20 historically pivotal, record breaking
rider/bike combinations.

Photos and descriptions are many, as to the slight and major differences,
between the works specials covered in this book and standard production
race bikes, that were available to the public. No wondering with this book.
The bikes are covered at so many levels and from so many points of view,
you literally know them inside-out.
Legendary Motocross Bikes, is not some cheaply made "oops I tore the
page out" book either. It is printed on heavy paper, has 160 pages and
weighs almost 2 pounds. You buy this book it'll be in you library for keeps.
